Keydent PTFE dental sutures represent the latest generation of surgical suture material, which is easy to handle and characterized by high-performance features. It consists of a highly porous microstructure that contains about 35% air by volume. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is non-absorbable, biologically inert and without chemical reaction. The monofilamentous texture of the sutures prevents from bacterial wicking. The suture material is non-absorbable even in the case of an infection. It features excellent soft tissue compatibility and extreme suture stability. The PTFE material is easy to knot, while the knot provides an especially strong hold. The sutures, which feature a considerably improved needle and a high plaque resistance, are particularly soft for high patient comfort.
